The Zoeller M53 is a submersible pump primarily used for dewatering sump basins or to remove effluent from a septic tank system. To remove sewage from your septic system you will need to use a Zoeller pump designed to remove sewage such as the M268 Waste-Mate Automatic Cast Iron Sewage Pump - 115 V, 1/2 HP. Its best to figure the requirementsof your system for the proper size pump.
